Our media have proclaimed it a new age, so its time for the citizens of Spokane to have a twenty-first century source for local news and opinion.

     And yes, the Spokane Falls has opinions aplenty, with a perspective decidely contrary and different than the other local news media.  Yes, its a conservative point of view, since the ideals of liberty and freedom of thought seems to have been abandoned by those of the liberal and  and "progressive"  persuasion.  But we will challenge the orthodoxy of both left and right when necessary, without regard to political party.  Media and government on the local and state-wide levels will be our primary interest, leaving the national scene to others, with some exceptions.

        While conservative in tone, Spokane Falls will be no friend of those who think that what's good for "downtown" is good for Spokane.

        Which may best explain why the name "Spokane Falls" is a good name for this blog.  We expect to have a real impact on the future affairs of Spokane,, whether its the use of traffic cameras to supplement government budgets, the non-regulation of our local cable providers, or the local court system, rife with corruption and cronyism.

       But Spokane Falls is your alternative news source, and so readers are welcome to submit news stories, investigative articles, letters, pictures, columns of special interest, and anything else for publication.  Oh, advertisers are also welcome.
