Adiaphora means things that are secondary or tertiary, that is non-essential, or that can be compromised.
Lutherans, of which I am one, say that there are certain things that cannot be given up.These include the death and resurrection of Christ, the Trinity, Sacraments etc. However, other matters, such as worship styles, music etc. are adiaphora.
On this blog I will be discussing many things that are adiaphora and many that are not. I suspect that you will be able to tell which ones I think are adiaphora by what I say about them. For example, I expect to discuss several things that are just fun to talk about.
Movies, books, magazine will be discussed, and I hope to bring some of my personal insights to the discussion of these things. I am also a comic book collector, so I will bring some of my enthusiasm for these into the blog. These are obviously Adiaphora and also fun.
I will also be discussing matters in the religious, cultural and political realms, and I am not so full of myself to think that my opinions and comments, even in these areas, are anything other than adiaphora. So check in frequently or sporadically. I'll be here.
